Xiaomi’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Mi smartphones in ‘final testing’ stages

In line with the previous report about Android Marshmallow being rolled out for select Xiaomi devices, a new GizmoChina report states that the update is in its final testing stages and will roll out soon.
Xiaomi has revealed that the company is testing Marshmallow for the Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi Note, and will release an update soon, adds the report. It will release with a new version of MIUI 7, which was earlier based on an older Android iteration.
“Back when Xiaomi unveiled the brand new MIUI 7 ROM, many fans were disappointed to see that most of the devices which were

going to get the new update would be stuck on Android 4.4, instead of Lollipop. At that time, Xiaomi had said that users shouldn’t be worried about the Android version as the features of the MIUI 7 would be the same on all devices,” points out GizmoChina.
A report earlier this month revealed that MIUI Operations Manager had put out small post on Weibo stating the company’s Mi 4 and Mi Note smartphones will be the first ones in its line-up to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. More importantly, the manager also clarified that users would be getting the latest version of Android soon and that company has already rolled out the software to its closed beta testers community.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update for Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note in 'Final Testing Stage'

Various smartphone manufacturers have begun rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates to their devices in past few weeks, while many others have revealed the update roadmap for their devices. Xiaomi has now revealed Android 6.0 Marshmallow will reach its Mi 3, Mi 4, and Mi Note soon, with a new version of MIUI 7.
As per Xiaomi's MIUI operations manager, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is said to be in its final testing stages and will start rolling out soon, reports Gizmochina. This will also be a welcome change for those who were disappointed when Xiaomi released its MIUI 7 ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. A user on Weibo has also posted a screenshot showing MIUI 5.12.24 update based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The images shows the update to weigh 518MB.

Earlier this month the same company manager confirmed that its Mi 4 flagship smartphone along with Mi Note would be the first smartphones in its lineup to receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
To recall, Xiaomi's Mi 4 was launched back in 2014 running Android 4.4 KitKat initially while the Mi Note was unveiled this year and also came running Android 4.4 KitKat version. Notably, the company released Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 ROMs for its handsets in October this year.
For those unaware, the MIUI 7 comes with a number of features such as four built-in themes, a daily lock screen that changes its wallpaper everyday, and a ne

w mode that gives a user the option to lock down apps they don't want their kids to access. As for improvements, the company claims that MIUI 7 offers up to 30 percent better response time than MIUI 6. Users should also find it light on battery as some tweaks on how the operating system handles the background apps have been introduced.

WhatsApp video-calling feature spotted online: report

WhatsApp is testing video-calling feature as well, according to a series of new
leaks that have surfaced online

After voice calls, WhatsApp is reportedly rumoured to be working on video calls. There are no officials dates or information from WhatsApp as to when the video-calling feature will go live. According to German website Macerkopf, users can opt for both the cameras for video-calls.

For WhatsApp, adding new features is no longer a question of choice, but one of necessity. With over 900 million monthly active users , the app is now as big as its parent company Facebook. With Facebook Messenger already supporting video-calling, WhatsApp needs to evolve and add more features.

While the voice-calling was already announced this year, video-calling appears to be the natural next step of progression for WhatsApp.

It will be interesting to see how WhatsApp video calls perform on mobile Internet. While free WhatsApp voice calls attracted a lot of attention from users before, but soon people started to ignore it, at least in India, where it is almost impossible to have a proper conversation on even 3G networks.

In order to be successful, the video-calls will have to be optimised for slower networks, especially for regions like India where WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging apps.

WhatsApp had recently announced that they have over 900 million monthly active users.

This is what Whatsapp is going to do

Whatsapp may add video calling feature

Whatsapp to take on Skype

Whatsapp may add free video calling feature in its upcoming updates. Whatsapp will probably activate video calling for a small number of users first, to get feedback and avoid server overload, like it did for its calling feature.
Lets wait and watch.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Rollout Begins Next Week for Nexus, Android One Devices

Google at its Nexus event on Tuesday announced the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will begin from next week over-the-air (OTA). The OS update would be hitting the Nexus smartphones, tablets, and other Nexus devices first. This time, the Android One devices are also on the list of first devices to receive the update. The company also gave some statistics on the global Android usage.

Dave Burke, Vice President of Engineering, Android, on Tuesday stated that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update would be spanning across Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, Nexus Player, and Android One devices. This means there would not be any more updates for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012) and the Samsung Nexus 10. The search giant would also be pushing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow source code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). While the start of the rollout is much closer to the new Nexus device launch this year, the OTA update could take weeks or even months to reach all Nexus devices worldwide.

Google introduced its Android 6.0 Marshmallow back in May during the Google I/O conference. Some of the new features of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which has been available as the Android M developer preview since Google I/O 2015, include revamped app permissions; Google Now on Tap feature; new Chrome feature that will change the Web experience for Android users; new ways to handle Web links; integrated Android Pay mobile payment system; new fingerprint APIs for developers to add into their apps and native fingerprint support, apart from battery saver features called Doze that will make Android devices smart about managing power. Some of the other additions include a new memory manager, adoptable storage devices, new app drawer, auto backup and restore for apps, and support for USB Type-C ports.

Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google also announced that the company's mobile platform now tops at 1.4 billion monthly active users. This is a huge bump of 400 million since Google announced it had hit 1 billion monthly active users back in June last year. He added that Android usage has multiplied by around two times in certain markets.

"We've added 400 million active devices and the momentum is happening around the world - especially in emerging economies. In many, many places. In countries like Indonesia and Vietnam Android has literally doubled in the last year. And what's exciting about this is in most of these cases these are people who are adopting a smartphone for the first time," he said. Also announced was that Google Play now has over 1 billion active users and that more than 20 million Chromecast dongles have been sold until now. The company also said that 10,000 companies were either using or testing the Android for Work platform, and 30,000 new Chromebooks were being shipped everyday.

Well though wasn't much talk at the event about the Android One project but still we hope that Google will keep up its promise(although it didn't in case of Lollipop), and get the phones updates to the 6.0

Yu Yunique Benchmark Tests : AnTuTu, NenaMark, Geekbench and Quadrant

Its a fundamental thing that we should never rely on just one test, and so I did perform the benchmarks tests several times with in different scenario and conditions with four apps namely, Antutu 5, NenaMark, Geekbench and Quadrant.
Kindly note that all the benchmark tests were done with the cellphone 3G network (4G network is not available at my place), but that does not change the value of the tests because the values are directly dependent on the hardware.

Yu Yunique Antutu Score:

Yu-Yunique-Antutu-Benchmarks
  • First Test

    20290

  • Second Test

    19405

  • The Antutu 5 gave a good score for a budget phone with 20290 points tested before any multitasking and gaming, but after gaming for more than 45 minutes the score dropped to 19405 and I guess its still pretty good score.

    Yu Yunique NenaMark 2 fps:

  • This app tests the frames per second for gaming performance and it gave a rating of 55.4 fps (frames per second), I did a retest but gave the same rating.

    Yu Yunique Geekbench 3 Score:

The Lexus Hoverboard is finally here

    hoverboard real
Lexus has been teasing us about its hoverboard for weeks, but it’s finally here.

The luxury carmaker has shown off its sci-fi skateboard being ridden around a skatepark in a new video that would make Marty McFly swoon.

It’s worth noting that Lexus didn’t actually build the hoverboard itself, as revealed by The Verge.
Instead, Lexus’ advertising agency conscripted a team of scientists working on maglev technology in Germany.

They shifted their focus to hoverboards, and spent months working on the space age tech until it was good enough to debut in advertisements.

But how does it actually work? The hoverboard is crammed full of superconductors that interact with a magnetic track to create a “hover” effect.

These superconductors are cooled to -180 degrees Celcius using liquid nitrogen – that explains the weird mist that trails the board.

According to reports, the board can only hover for 20 minutes, after which the liquid nitrogen runs out and the board loses its superconductivity. Right...

Unfortunately, what this this also means that you can’t ride the hoverboard anywhere but on a specially designed track.

Apparently the skatepark in the video is actually made out of wood painted to look like cement.
Underneath are designated tracks covered with plaster to conceal it – they’re the only places the hoverboard can ride.

Were you impressed by the Lexus Hoverboard, or is it another disappointing attempt at sci-fi technology? Let us know in the comments.

Cortana on Windows 10: How the voice assistant will make your life easier

    cortana 1
Microsoft’s voice assistant Cortana is coming to Windows 10. Here’s what you’re going to be able to do with it.
Earlier this year it was announced that Cortana would be making its debut on PCs and tablets like the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. On 29 July 2015, it will launch on Windows 10 in the UK, US, China, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
With just as much sass as Apple’s Siri, she - yes, Microsoft refers to Cortana as ‘she’ - will change the way we use Windows. At least, that’s what Microsoft hopes.
But what does Cortana coming to Windows 10 actually mean for you? Here's where the personal assistant is going to lend a helping hand.

Related: Here are the 9 new Windows 10 features you need to try first

Brings voice control to the desktop

At the risk of stating the obvious, one thing that Cortana will bring to Windows 10 is voice control. “Hey Cortana” will fire up the friendly assistant, which is integrated into the Start menu.
While Cortana uses a Bing-powered search database to provide answers to your questions, she does a lot more, arguably more than rival voice assistants Siri and Google Now.
Cortana gets to know you and helps you get things done, learning your preferences and making recommendations. As with the mobile version, Cortana’s Notebook is home to everything she knows about you, just as a real-life assistant’s notebook would be. Opening this up will show exactly what Cortana knows, from frequent locations, to what time you get up in the morning.
Of course, if you’re not into voice controls, or you’re in a place where talking to your computer simply isn’t practical, then you can type your commands instead.

Related: Windows 10 vs Windows 8 - Should you upgrade?

    cortana 5

    Seamless integration with Microsoft software

As with all the latest Microsoft software, the idea is that Cortana syncs up via the cloud for a seamless experience across all your Microsoft products.
Windows phone owners who have Cortana set up on their phone will find that their settings are automatically ported across to their PC when they sign in using their Microsoft ID. Cortana then automatically adjusts according to the device you’re on. She knows that if you’re asking something on mobile, you’re going to be brief, while on PC you’re more likely to be working for sustained periods of time.
Cortana is also made to work seamlessly with all your Microsoft software, so if you tell her to “Call Michael”, she’ll automatically put a call in using Skype.
As you’d expect, you can ask Cortana to carry out all sorts of functions in your other Windows 10 programmes, like set up reminders and add things to the calendar, take notes in Notepad, check directions in Bing Maps and play music in the new Music app.

Related: Windows 10 Start Menu explained

    cortana 1

Link up with your favourite apps

As well as linking up with all your Windows software, Cortana is also capable of linking up with third-party apps.
Universal Windows apps can integrate with Cortana for an even smoother user experience, with both Uber and Viber already confirmed. This means that you can perform app functions through Cortana without even needing to open up the app.
For example, if you’ve previously used Viber to send a message to a friend, you could use Cortana to say “send a message to Michael telling him I’m running late using Viber”. Cortana would then take care of this before asking you to confirm before sending, saving you valuable time and preventing you from turning up even later.

Related: Windows 10 vs Windows 7

    cortana 9

    Tailored to where you live

Cortana is tailored to reflect the local language and customs, which is why it isn’t available for all markets directly from launch. Each market has its own local team of writers, editors, programmers and voice talent.
The clever voice recognition software is trained not only to recognise local speech patterns but also more subtle differences, such as irony, sarcasm and even the famous British self-deprecating humour.
Microsoft has carried out research into what kind of voice each market wants to hear, with UK users apparently favouring a voice that sounds like the ‘English Rose’.
But it’s not just differences in language that Cortana has to deal with. Local customs, festivals and weather are taken into account, giving users the information that they require for their region. For example, in China, Cortana gives air quality readings as part of the weather report, something that’s vitally important given that its cities have such high levels of air pollution.

    Give your PC some personality

Like Apple’s Siri, Cortana has her own personality and is no stranger to a bit of fun - she’ll sing you a song or tell you a joke if you ask.
Cortana was designed to reflect a real-life personal assistant, and was named after the fictional AI character in the Microsoft-published Halo videogame series. The original US Windows Phone version of Cortana is even voiced by Jen Taylor, who also provided the voice talent in the games.
As such, Cortana contains plenty of easter eggs related to the game’s protagonist Master Chief. She’s also armed with quips about Microsoft CEOs.
Cortana even has a wisecrack ready if you ask her about Microsoft’s former Office Assistant ‘Clippy’ - the irritating and inexplicably unhelpful little sod of a paperclip who was thankfully killed off some years ago.

OnePlus 2 rumors: You’re invited to the July 27 official launch … in virtual reality

Smartphone newcomer OnePlus has a new phone in the works, which is being referred to as the OnePlus 2. First discussed in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) Reddit session, the OnePlus 2 is likely to remain good value for money while still offering high-end specifications.

The company has also hinted at the possibility of a wearable device being released in the near future, and new reports are talking about a OnePlus One Lite smartphone. We’ve put together everything we know so far about OnePlus’ plans into this handy roundup post.

OnePlus announces virtual reality launch event for OnePlus 2

OnePlus certainly knows how to create a little buzz. The company announced July 27 for the OnePlus 2 launch event, which normally isn’t a big deal. However, OnePlus wants its fans to be right there front and center. That doesn’t mean that you will get a free ticket to be there in person, but you will get the next best thing — the entire event will be streamed in virtual reality.

OnePlus’ Carl Pei said, “In our industry, product launches tend to be the same. An auditorium, a keynote, and a seated audience. For the OnePlus 2 launch, we didn’t want that barrier between us and you; we want to invite you into our world, because you’re a major part of it.”

    OnePlus_2_July_27_Launch_Event_VR_Banner

Witnessing the event in VR means that you will be right there next to the OnePlus team, and you will be able “check out the phone in a new way and maybe even find a few hidden Easter eggs.”

OnePlus recently hosted a pair of contests  giving two fans a chance to go to the event, and it has been revealed that those fans will actually help present the event in VR
    .
You can’t view VR unless you have a special headset, and OnePlus has created their own version of Google Cardboard. Just like Google Cardboard, it will work with most Android phones, and you will be able to order one soon. It’s not clear, but we are under the assumption that Google Cardboard will work as well.
Be sure to mark your calendar for July 27 at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT.
Earlier reports out of China indicated that OnePlus would host a press event in July, and they were right.
In late May, OnePlus invited its fans to check out its upcoming June 1 event in a Google+ post. The invite said, “We’re always looking for ways to shake up the tech industry. And we think it’s time for a change. Find out more June 1.”
    oneplus invite
We expected OnePlus to announce the OnePlus 2 on June 1 based on the above image, but what we got instead was a series of OnePlus One flash sales from June 1 through June 7, in which the starting price dropped to $250.
Earlier on, OnePlus held a special event on April 20 2015, but didn’t reveal the OnePlus 2, or the OnePlus One Lite there either. Instead, the invitation system to buy the OnePlus One was dropped entirely. However, the company took the opportunity to inform us it would be back for the OnePlus 2.
When OnePlus first confirmed the existence of the OnePlus 2, the company stated that the 2 will launch between April and September of 2015. Since then, OnePlus’ Carl Pei has continued to place the release date in that large timeframe, without specifying an exact date. In early December 2014, Pei told BGR India the handset will launch in either the second quarter or the third quarter of 2015, reiterating the vague window mentioned before. Now, we’ve finally got the official July 27 date.

One Plus 2 will feature a Type C USB port and the Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chip

OnePlus isn’t one to keep quiet about its upcoming devices. The unorthodox smartphone maker revealed yet another spec of its highly-anticipated OnePlus 2 on Twitter in late June. Apparently, the OnePlus 2 will sport a reversible Type C USB port instead of the standard Micro USB port that most Android phones have onboard.
    OnePlus_2_Snapdragon_810_v2.1_Banner_cropped
In terms of processing power, previous rumors pointed towards the OnePlus 2 rocking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, and OnePlus has confirmed it. However, there is one detail that is very important. The OnePlus 2 will be using an updated 810 chip known as v2.1, which is important because the previous version of the chip caused phones to overheat and slowdown. Qualcomm’s issues were the main reason why Samsung decided to go with its homegrown Exynos processor on the Galaxy S6 instead.
The updated version of the 810 won’t overheat, according to OnePlus: “We worked very closely with Qualcomm’s engineers to integrate an improved version of the chipset (v2.1) in the OnePlus 2, and fine-tuned both hardware and software,” the company said. “The 2 will be ‘cooler than ever.'”

OnePlue 2 pricing rumored to be more competitive than previously thought

Reports out of China say the OnePlus 3 will be priced at 2,000 Yuan ($322), which is slightly more than the OnePlus One’s original launch price of $300. We are taking this one with a grain of salt, since OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posted on the social network Weibo that 2,500 Yaun or $400 would be a “reasonable” price for the phone. Of course, there is a chance that Lau was aiming high in order to shock us when the phone does get announced.
The main attraction of the OnePlus One was its incredibly low price paired with high-end hardware. The Chinese company priced its phone so low that it barely made any profit off the sales. A source told Business Insider that OnePlus will sell the 2 for much less than the standard $500-and-up price tag of your average high-end smartphone. No specific number was mentioned. Although the specifications have yet to be officially announced, those familiar with OnePlus’ plans say the hardware on the 2 will be high-end and powerful.

Just how high-end will the specs be?

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau told followers on the Weibo social network the OnePlus 2 will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, just like the LG G Flex2  and the HTC One M9. In late May, a benchmark test was discovered showing a phone called the OnePlus One A2001 running exactly that chip. The octa-core processor was accompanied by 3GB of RAM, and the device used Android 5.1 as its operating system. The test was dated May 20. Prior to this, a rumor from reseller Coolicool claimed the 2 would come with a Snapdragon 805, which seemed unlikely at the time.
Other specs revealed by Coolicool — so take them as you will — include a a 5.5-inch screen with an unspecified pixel resolution, 32GB of storage, a 3300mAh battery, as well as 16 and 5-megapixel cameras.  It pegged the OnePlus 2’s release for the third quarter of 2015, which is in line with OnePlus’ own enigmatic predictions, and had put a high $552 price estimate on the device.
Anonymous sources speaking to GizChina.com in January 2015 agree with the 5.5-inch screen size, and put the screen resolution at 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Snapdragon 810 may be joined by 4GB of RAM — which will see it compete with Xiaomi’s Mi Note Pro — and be powered by a 3300mAh battery. The January report suggested the price would be 2700 yuan, or about $435.

    Unique design will be customizable

OnePlus’ first smartphone wowed tech fans with its unique design and original style. It seems that OnePlus is continuing on that path with the 2, as a report from Business Insider states the company’s next handset will be even more customizable. The first time around, OnePlus offered limited numbers of special StyleSwap backs for the One, including the very popular and extremely elusive bamboo back. Those who manage to get their hands on a OnePlus 2 will have even more color and material options.

The OnePlus 2 may run OxygenOS

The first OnePlus smartphone runs CyanogenMod’s own custom ROM built upon Android and many expected that it would appear on the OnePlus 2 as well. However, following CEO Peter Lau’s admissions to a Chinese publication regarding a home-grown custom ROM for the next phone, the company released OxygenOS.
OxygenOS is OnePlus’ own Android-based operating system, and was released at the beginning of April. It can be installed on the OnePlus One smartphone, and will most likely come pre-installed on the OnePlus 2.

What we learned from the AMA Reddit chat

The AMA was hosted by OnePlus’ Carl Pei and David S. on Reddit. The two answered questions on several topics, including preorders, the limited supply of OnePlus One smartphones, and future products. The company agreed that it underestimated demand for its first smartphone, but added that it remains committed to its motto of “Never Settle.” Initially, preorders for the OnePlus will only be open for a limited amount of time, due to production limitations.
“Things definitely haven’t gone as planned,” Pei said. “Looking back, we probably misjudged demand by 30x, and are scrambling to catch up. Our team wasn’t built to handle this growth. We’re hiring like crazy, and things should be under control in a few months.”
In the meantime, OnePlus said it’s focused on creating the OnePlus 2, so that sufficient numbers of the device will be available ahead of the projected 2015 launch. The company didn’t reveal much about the device’s specs or price, but it did hint that the OnePlus 2 may be smaller than the original.
“We’ve seen a lot of people asking for a smaller device, and want to let everyone know that we hear you,” OnePlus said. “We’re thinking about it.”
Unfortunately, OnePlus said that it will probably use the invite system for its next smartphone too, before moving on to limited preorders again. “It will probably be invite-only for a short period of time, after which pre-orders are rolled out,” OnePlus wrote, much to the chagrin of every fan who’s been slighted by the highly selective system.

What about the OnePlus One Lite?

According to an anonymous source speaking to DroidPile, the OnePlus One Lite will be an improved version of the OnePlus One, but not quite matching the specs of the OnePlus 2. This suggests the OnePlus 2 may be more expensive than the OnePlus One, and the Lite may be the company’s budget model for 2015. Expect another invite-only system to be put in place for prospective buyers.

Is a OnePlus Watch in the works?

The company also addressed rumors that it’s working on a wearable device. “Re:wearables,” OnePlus wrote in response to a fan’s question about the new category. “Yes. Unsure if/when/how we’ll release it though.”
Images of the OneWatch leaked earlier this summer, so it’s entirely possible that OnePlus was just being coy. Either that, or the pictures aren’t real.

Motorola Moto G 2015 is Going to be a HUGE Disappointment

Dire news for Motorola fans as a new leak has emerged for the upcoming Moto G. Apparently, the device has barely changed from last year’s revision, and this is terrible. It’s still a bit early to tell, but this is bad news for Motorola fans in general, and we’re waiting for the official announcement.
Motorola’s Moto G has always been a very popular device. This is supposed to be a mid-tier budget device and the second generation has gained a lot of attention. Motorola is currently working on next-gen versions of many of their existing devices, such as the Moto 360 or the Moto X, as well as the Moto G. We didn’t expect a lot to change with this year’s Moto G, but we didn’t expect this little to change either. According to the recent leaks, the Moto G 3rd generation will have the same tech specs as the second generation one. The only notable difference lies in the design of the device. Apparently, this is a marketing move from Motorola which aims to promote its upcoming DROID device.

Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation Tech Specs

The upcoming Moto G will pack the same 5-inch display with a Snapdragon 410 on it, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage which can be expanded with a MicroSD card and a 13MP primary shooter. The device has 4G LTE support and the new device seems to have gotten an AnTuTu score of 23,355 as opposed to last year: 18,249. There’s still some improvement seen, but we’d best take these leaks with a pinch of salt. The ideal move would be to wait for Motorola to pull the curtains on this device and actually reveal it before we can make any speculations. Right now, it would make sense that Motorola seeks to promote the DROID brand, but we doubt these tech specs are definitive. Check out the leaks for yourself and let us know what you think about this. Are you a bit disappointed?

Hitman 6 , Hitman 6 PC System Requirements

Wow, stealthing our way out the other side of E3 2015 and we have already infiltrated Hitman's system requirements. And be warned they are pretty hefty.

So the next game in the series is simply called Hitman. They kept it like this because it marks the beginning of a new journey for Hitman. Obviously they didnt give any consideration to the world wide complication of having two games called exactly the same. They could have called it Hitman 2015 or something. Anyway, its Hitman number 6 in the series and I want to give you a look at the latest Hitman system requirements to see if your PC will be able to play Hitman, when it arrives at the beginning of December. Right, lets recap on what we know about Hitman.

Hitman Release Date: 8th December 2015
Platforms Hitman is available on: PC, Xbox One, PS4
    Hitman full development began: 2012
Hitman Background: There is a world beyond ours. Beyond nations, justice, ethics. It never sleeps. It exists everywhere. And once you enter....there is no going back. Welcome to the World of Assassination. You are Agent 47, the world's ultimate assassin.

    Key Hitman Game Features
Agent 47 has changed his name to Agent 48. Joke! You still play as Agent 47 and he hasnt changed his name. Could you even imagine?
Stealth Action, where you can complete contract missions in a variety of ways
The checkpoint save, introduced in Hitman Absolution, is being removed. Thank goodness
Save games are brought back so you can save your progress at any point
Hitman will be released as episodic content, first via direct download
Contracts, new locations, new targets will be released at regular points during 2016
At the end of all the episodic content releases, Hitman will be released as a complete physical copy
Locations will be more detailed, populated and larger than before
There will be more possible ways to eliminate your target
    Contracts mode will return
David Bateson will be voicing Agent 47 again. He is the familiar voice behind all of Agent 47s speaking parts
Time specific contracts available to players, for example a target only is available for a 48 hour real world period. After that time they are gone for good
Levels populated by up to 300 complex AI NPCs. With unique routines and personalities
Or one shot contracts, where if you fail to dispatch the target you never get to retry
Deliver live content and gameplay specific to gamers needs, from feedback after each episode release
PC Beta will arrive 1 week after the PS4 "beta exclusive"
Beta is available for pre-orders now
    Hitman Game Engine
Hitman Absolution, the last game in the series to release, was brought to us on the Glacier 2 game engine. All areas of this game engine system have been revamped and enhanced. Looking at the official Hitman minimum system requirements below we can presume that some significant tweaks have been applied as it needs quite the beast PC to get Hitman to run.
    Hitman Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 or Windows 8 and above - 64bit only
CPU: Intel Core i5-670 3.46GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 805 (speculative CPU req)
    RAM: 8 GB System Memory
    GPU VRAM: 2GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon Hd 6870
HD: 30 GB Free Hard Drive Space (speculative download size)
    DX: DirectX 11

Thats some pretty potent minimum system requirements for Hitman. The 8GB RAM min requirement pops out. Obviously with so many unique AI NPCs on each level, the CPU power will need to be high. These feel a little over egged to be honest, but as soon as we get our hands on this we will see how it runs on some older, weaker machines as well as some powerful hardware.
So to recap, Square Enix are going to be moving the Hitman experience away from a play your title for a week when it comes out and then move on to something else, and over towards a community experience where an evolving ongoing game rolls out over a year of new missions and targets, with a finale that draws the whole story together months after our first play.
It all sounds quite exciting and an interesting new approach to a game. Of course there is also the chance of micro transactions and frustration for people who miss certain time limited targets (because they are on holiday or dont have an internet connection during that period) or cant be arsed to wait 12 months to find out how their game unfolds.
