Wow, stealthing our way out the other side of E3 2015 and we have already infiltrated Hitman's system requirements. And be warned they are pretty hefty.
So the next game in the series is simply called Hitman. They
kept it like this because it marks the beginning of a new journey for Hitman.
Obviously they didnt give any consideration to the world wide complication of
having two games called exactly the same. They could have called it Hitman 2015
or something. Anyway, its Hitman number 6 in the series and I want to give you
a look at the latest Hitman system requirements to see if your PC will be able
to play Hitman, when it arrives at the beginning of December. Right, lets recap
on what we know about Hitman.

Hitman Game Engine
Hitman Absolution, the last game in the series to release,
was brought to us on the Glacier 2 game engine. All areas of this game engine
system have been revamped and enhanced. Looking at the official Hitman minimum
system requirements below we can presume that some significant tweaks have been
applied as it needs quite the beast PC to get Hitman to run.
Hitman Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 or Windows 8 and above - 64bit only
CPU: Intel Core i5-670 3.46GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 805
(speculative CPU req)
RAM: 8 GB System Memory
GPU VRAM: 2GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon Hd 6870
HD: 30 GB Free Hard Drive Space (speculative download size)
DX: DirectX 11
Thats some pretty potent minimum system requirements for
Hitman. The 8GB RAM min requirement pops out. Obviously with so many unique AI
NPCs on each level, the CPU power will need to be high. These feel a little
over egged to be honest, but as soon as we get our hands on this we will see
how it runs on some older, weaker machines as well as some powerful hardware.
So to recap, Square Enix are going to be moving the Hitman
experience away from a play your title for a week when it comes out and then
move on to something else, and over towards a community experience where an
evolving ongoing game rolls out over a year of new missions and targets, with a
finale that draws the whole story together months after our first play.
It all sounds quite exciting and an interesting new approach
to a game. Of course there is also the chance of micro transactions and
frustration for people who miss certain time limited targets (because they are
on holiday or dont have an internet connection during that period) or cant be arsed
to wait 12 months to find out how their game unfolds.
