MotoGP 15 System Requirements

Two-wheeled petrolheads rejoice, the latest iteration in the long-running MotoGP franchise is here this month. Milestone are back with MotoGP 15, which adds a host of new features, including an expanded career mode with a more comprehensive experience thanks to the introduction of Personal Teams, an AI and physics overhaul, and improved bike handling and interactions.

Good things come at a price though, and the hardware demands for MotoGP 15 have obviously taken a leap over its predecessor. Before you pick up this latest sim racer then, it's time to find out whether your gaming rig is more moped than superbike with the official MotoGP system requirements.

MotoGP 15 Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-530 2.93 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 850 3.3 GHz
RAM: 4 GB System Memory
GPU RAM: 1024MB Video Memory
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 6790
HDD: 30GB Available Hard Drive Space
DX: DirectX 10

MotoGP 15 Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz
RAM: 4GB System Memory
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290X
DX: DirectX 11

These are some fairly hefty system requirements and a slight step up from last year's outing, particularly in regards to the CPUs. Luckily the minimum system requirements for MotoGP 15 should be within reach for most PC gamers, but if you want to dial up those settings then you'll need a vastly more capable rig.

Down at the lower end we've got a slight leap from last year's CPU demands, jumping from a Core 2 Duo up to an Intel Core i3-530 and an AMD Phenom II X4 850. Both decent processors but they're certainly showing their age by now, so we would expect most to be fine here. The same formula applies to the graphics cards, which only see a minor bump from last year. This pair are firmly in the low end by now and similar performance is available extremely cheaply nowadays.

Moving onto the MotoGP 15 recommended system requirements and these are massive indeed. This is bound to be absolute ultra settings because, looking at the visuals, both the GTX 780 and the R9 290X seem like overkill.

One more thing to add and  that's controller support. The MotoGP games pretty much demand dual analogues for control over leaning and acceleration, so you're going to want an Xbox or PlayStation controller here to play MotoGP 15 competently.
