AMD might be turning up fashionably late to the party, but it too has
released a new game-ready driver for Grand Theft Auto 5. In typical AMD
form it’s a beta release, but the AMD Catalyst 15.4 Beta driver should
come with all sorts of tweaks and optimisations under the hood to ensure
optimum performance on AMD hardware, fingers crossed.
The latest driver AMD promises will provide “peak driver performance optimisation”,
and comes packing new Crossfire profiles, not just for GTA 5, but
also Dying Light,Mortal Kombat X (also out today), Metal Gear Solid V:
Ground Zeroes, andSleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition.
This is joined by updated profiles for Battlefield Hardline, Far Cry
4, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and Sniper Elite 3. Both of the
Battlefield titles should have had their memory leaks sorted out, while
Far Cry 4 should see a reduction in stuttering and screen-tearing.
You can grab the AMD Catalyst 15.4 Beta Driver for yourself at AMD's official site, but
you’re going to need to drag yourself out of GTA 5 for a few minutes to
get it installed, unfortunately. Let us know below if you notice any
significant performance differences before and after installing this
driver.
