Armored Warfare Trailer Details

I have to admit it, this one’s been sneaking under my radar, but Obsidian Entertainment has been working on a free-to-play MMO dubbed Armored Warfare, with a new trailer detailing a deadly new tank. Not content with pushing out two top-notch RPGs in the shape of Pillars of Eternity and South Park: The Stick of Truth, Obsidian is also gearing up for an Armored Warfare beta this Spring. The latest tank to get a run out is the M551 Sheridan, a fleet-footed fighter that also packs a punch. The downside is the M551 can’t take too much of a pummeling before turning into scrap metal, so this one will take plenty of run and gun tactics to master.

Armored Warfare looks to be in much the same vein as Wargaming’s World of Tanks, with players granted access to a wide variety of tanks, each of which can be levelled up and upgraded with deadly new abilities and unique cosmetic customisations.  An Armored Warfare closed beta is expected to go live in Q2 2015, ahead of an expected release later this year.
