Best Smartphones To Look Out For In 2015

Note 5, Nexus 5 2015, Moto X 2015 and LG G4 Note

It has been a great few quarters for smartphones in general. Companies have been pumping out some great phones with big jumps in the hardware as well as the software capabilities.
While Apple has pushed out two big upgrades in the form of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung has started understanding design with the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Motorola has regained quite a bit of its mojo with its Moto X, G and E series. LG has started improving its execution. The G4 is a very good example of a maturing LG, with the focus on all the important areas instead of gimmicks.
As we move forward in the year, we are expecting more big ticket launches from all these companies. While HTC may not have fared really well recently, the company has a lot of fans who would want them to do well. Sony has not been much in the news either even after the launch of the Japan-only Xperia Z4, so it is an important period for these two companies as well.
Here are some of the most anticipated phones scheduled to launch later in 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

One of the hottest to be launched phones of this year, the Galaxy Note 5 is aimed to build on the success of the Galaxy Note 4 launched last year. Samsung has not put a step wrong after the launch of the fourth Note series phone, which is a very good feat.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Samsung is reported to launch two Note devices this year as well, albeit each different from the other in a tangible way. The Galaxy Note 5 is supposed to come with a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display with at least Quad HD 2K resolution, or if the displays are ready, Ultra HD 4K resolution. This is not mere conjecture, with Samsung prepping up its 4K displays production line in time for the launch of the Galaxy Note 5. With the jump in the screen resolution, Samsung is aiming to also upgrade the processor to Exynos 7420x or Exynos 7422 to cope with the increased workload.
Samsung is also supposedly going to source the display, processor, RAM, flash storage and camera sensors from its subsidiaries, giving it access to almost every new technology first.

LG G4 Note

LG may have tried its hands at the phablets a few times and failed, but the Korean giant is not going to give up yet, rumours suggest. While there is literally nothing about the G4 Note, LG has filed for patents for an improved stylus last year, suggesting it could use it in an upcoming device soon. The G4 Note may not be in sight yet, but it is coming.

Motorola Moto X (2015)

Motorola Moto X (2015)
Motorola’s not been very successful with its Moto X line of devices despite the exceeding praise for it. Motorola is rumoured to finally pick itself up again here in the high end range with the third Moto X device.
Rumours and leaks suggest that Moto X (2015) will come with a 5.1 or 5.2 inch Quad HD display, with a hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and a 13 and 5 MP pair of cameras.

OnePlus Two

One of the more hyped companies, OnePlus is already preparing the successor to the One. The Two is coming for sure, with Carl Pei making it apparent that they will use the Snapdragon 810 processor.
Other things are not yet known so far probably even to OnePlus, so it is too early to say anything just yet.

Nexus phone(s)

The Nexus 6 has not taken off yet. To solve this trouble, Google is apparently teaming up with Huawei and possibly LG to launch a premium and an affordable version of the next Nexus phones respectively.
Nexus 5 (2015)
Rumours have been doing the rounds about an affordable yet high end Huawei Nexus phone with a Quad HD 5.7 inch display and Snapdragon 810 processor. In addition, there is a strong hint that Google could refresh the Nexus 5 to release a Nexus 5 2015 version later this year.
