It looks as if the final specs of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 980 Ti have been partially revealed, alongside the first benchmark results. A leaked shipping record suggests the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is already beginning to roll out. It features a GM200-310 GPU, 6GB GDDR5 memory and a 384-bit memory bus.
Unfortunately there’s still no word on pricing, but we do have our hands on the first benchmark results. The performance numbers come from a 3DMark test, and it also provides a further specification breakdown. As expected the GTX 980 Ti is using the a modified version of the GM200 GPU used in the GTX Titan X, albeit with two SMMs disabled to make use of the less than perfect chip yield from the Titan X. Despite this, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti still more than holds its own against the brute force of Nvidia’s GTX Titan X…

As you can see the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is pretty much the Titan X's equal, even outdoing it on the FireStrike Extreme and Ultra benchmarks. While we haven't got our hands on concrete info regarding its clock speed, this is the likely reason for such impressive performance. Don't forget as well, this is just the base model, so once Nvidia's partners beginning customisation it and pre-overclocking it, we could have a bona fide GeForce GTX Titan X-beater on our hands, for a significantly cheaper price.
The latest rumours suggest Nvidia could be planning to launch the GeForce GTX 980 Ti even earlier than expected, hinting it may come before the Computex Taipei event on June 2nd.
